(concept art for Kara of the Inuyasha world's true demon from)
Concept and making: Her demon form was originaly a white dragon with slightly iridescent scales (like you would see on a pure whie goldfish in good light) However, I couldnt shade the white the way I wanted to, and couldnt get the iridescent effect. Oh well. I'll try again later. The background was a bit of trial and error. but I like it.
About the dragon: I have noticed there are many types of dragons. Elementals (that use and rule over elements like water, earth, lightning, air, fire, and sometimes darkness) and ones that have no elemental abilities other than just "magic" and some have a mix of elements (the leader of the fur war gods in inuyasha controlled both wind and lightning).
Celestials fall into the "elemental mix" the other element they have differs from dragon to dragon. They get most of thier abilities and power from starlight, and will often lie out in an open area on a clear night to gather power from the stars and heal. Celestials are strongest at night, so they will often hide during the day. Celestials are always a pale color and have ling fur on thier tails, shoulders, and back of thier head. they also have a jem in the middle of thier forhead. Not all celestials have wings. some look like Oriental dragons, with the markings of a celestial.
Teeth are sharp and are hidden by lips. Unless she curls her lip in a snarl or sneer, the teeth are hidden from view.
Fur has glowing sparkles of celestial power. Sparkles are both in the hair itself and floating in between individual strands. Sparkles are not visible in direct sunlight or light shadows.
"Whiskers" Help with reading weather and air currents, as well as absorbing celestial power from stars. Power is then channeled through the body for healing, energy, and attacks. Excess power is moved to the hair and some of it is released through pores. This released energy can be accumulated for powerful attacks.
No scales. Just smooth skin.
Front paws are like thick hands. (5 digits) Back paws have only 4 digits
This dragon is a quadruped, but can "Sit up" if sitting back on haunches or uses something to place it's front paws on
